Jessicagray034 online pet scam
There is a person who claims to live in Leeds and I replied to an ad for a cavalier king Charles puppy. She was very convincing emailing a lot of questions about me and saying she had been advised by doctors to sell the pup due to her sons allergies. However I was then informed they lived in Kirkwall Scotland but would arrange for the pup to be delivered to me and all I would have to do is pay delivery costs direct to the air services company. I then received an email from companionairservices3@hotmail.com requesting £120 for the delivery however due to uk offices undergoing audit the funds were to be sent to Cameroon via western union. This caused suspicion so I checked the email address which was not recognised as a reputable company. In fact companion air does exist but i could only find american based flights. I ran "jessicagray034" through google to find this person is advertising a number of puppy breeds and other animals ie horses, parots kittens etc which is strange if her son is hyper allergic. She has registered on numerous other sites selling more animals than I can count but if you run the name used on all these ads "jessicagray034" through google you will see for yourself. The email address used is "jessicagray034@gmail.com" I do not believe This person to be genuine and I can only imagine the amount of people she may have scammed in this way, luckily, I did my checks. I would advise all to avoid dealings if payment is requested via western union as there is little or no trace once this is sent. If I am wrong, I would apologise however the facts don't build a good picture for these ads to be genuine.

I too almost fell into this trap, below are the emails that I received from the scammer, boy do I feel silly, but relieved I googled it first before moving forward, it just seemed odd that they would post an ad in a local paper, but wanted to then ship the puppy:

Bank of America email - scam?
I am selling a laptop online and sent the buyer my bank account name, number and type.
He said he was going to do a bank transfer and this is the email I got from the Bank of America. It basically just said that the money was taken out of the buyers account and would be put in mine after I sent them proof of shippment.
Is it a scam?

Greetings to you in Christ and your family in the name of God, in my search for a reliable and God fearing person and having gotten your contact through prayers and pains taking efforts via searching I made on the internet on my bed side. COMPANY NAME AS USERNAME, AND POINTLESS/PETTY - Some clarity
I have read through much of this thread and it's been an eye opener and I have learned a few new things I never though to check on when looking into a company during my DD. But having said that I have also come across some things that many of the "experts" in this forum hold out to be factual which are not always accurate.
1. Websites - keep in mind that NOT all companies in the world have or want a website. According the wisdom being offered up in this thread if a company does not have a website they are fake. But that is not true 100% of the time. I only state this as I know factually of a very large Privately held company in the middle east that does billions of dollars a year in business, not only in he Oil industry that has NO website now and has no plan to have one in the near future. I also know of at least two other very successful venture capital firms that have zero interest in having a website. I realize that much of the time or even most of the time no website is a red flag but I can state without doubt that is NOT true 100% of the time.
2. I have dealt with a very successful broker, not just in Oil but in Iron Ore, Gold and Coal among other products that to this day still uses a Yahoo free email address. I would think that many business people do as well. I think the key is does the person in question just accept and tell people they use a free email provider or do they as in many of the cases in this thread PRETEND to be using a domain based email from a company they are doing identity theft on.
Just some food for thought as much as you should never accept ANY deal as being legit without checking I don't think you should any deal is a scam without those same checks.
