Hello, I'm trying to sell a cellphone and got a confirmation email from Bank of America. I googled if it's a scam and found this website.
We had an agreement that i will only post a parcel once I see the money comes into my account, and these bank letters came basically saying they will not transfer the money unless they have a confirmation of post to prevent fraud.
I felt something fishy because:
1. The money is a lot more than I asked (we agreed on $ 120)
2. The bank sent me 3 letters in a no time but they are saying same thing - provide the confirmation before they transfer the money
3. The years are all different at the letter tail.
4. The email looks not nitty enough to be a 'official letter' it more looks like copy & paste using by Word or something..
Is this a scam? And if it is, what should I do?
