I placed an add on Kijjii looking for a West Highland Terrier.Text:
I received a call from a person with broken english named Diary Joel Knock. He said he was in Vernon British Columbia Canada. He said he and his wife had to re-home 10 week old Jane.
I told him I would not send money until I had Jane. He said okay, he would make arrangements to send me Jane via "Uship". He said I could send the $200 after I received Jane, but I had to make a Uship delivery payment of $80 and then it was $100 before he could send her.
He was always evaisive about me driving up to pick her up. He said he was in Vernon British Columbia Canada but his area code was Washington State. also, when he told me to pay Western Union; to wire the $100 delievery fee to "UShip" in Cameroon Africa. The "Uship" telephone area code is also Washington State (206 area code).
I finially confronted the bogus "Uship" company and told the seller "Diary" I would either pick the dog up, meet him half way, or gave him pay "Uship". He didn't reply.
The dog was for my mother and she thinks she saw the same photos of this pup on line with she was looking for West Highland Terrier pups. I think these people copied a breeder's photo. Once I withdrew from this deal, I received a call from Washington State, claiming to be a "Uship" Supervisor; he was extremely confrontational and arogant when I answered the call. I had to hang up. I tried the number and received a Travel Agency greeting. The Supervisor told me it is a travel agency to transport pets.
Apparently Cameroon Africa is known for these pet scams.
I will also report this to the RCMP.
My mother and I are heart broken not to receive Jane.
Please don't ever send money to an unknown person.
