Has anyone else received phone calls from a Card Services?
Supposedly this company has been given some sort of authorizations from different Credit Card companies, to be able to offer you a decreased interest rate and other services linked to you credit card. I know that doesn't make much sense so the closest thing I could find on the internet was this
http://www.cardservices.com.au/
I received a phone call from a company that calls itself Card Services. The Caller ID came up as Private caller. Supposedly they could lower the interest rate on all of my credit cards, though they were using information from only one. When I say they had the information- they had the whole card number, expiration date, my birthdate, and at least the last 4 digits of my social. The one thing this guy needed me to give (supposedly to confirm) was the 3 digit security code on the back of my card.
I did not feel comfortable giving that information (not to mention they guy was a huge jerk) but I would love to see my interest rate brought (way) down. Anybody have any experience or thoughts on this?
I contacted my credit card company & they say it was a scam so they changed my card number. I received my new cards yesterday & today I received another phone call from Card Services. Told them that they guy I talked to the other day was a huge jerk & that if they wanted to, they could call again & talk to my husband.
