I bought some stocks last year through a company called Sustainable Investments, which I have since learned is a boiler room scam.
I found a website called "economic Frauds - economicfrauds.com that claimed to help victims of economic fraud and I filled in my details. They were looking for me to pay $150 in legal fees up front to join a legal case against Sustainable Investments.
However I became suspicious of them because despite calling themselves Economic Frauds there is no partnership or company name details and their address is a PO Box. The only human being listed on the website is their CEO Emilia Chidester, who is not a lawyer and the whole thing just didnt feel right.
That's when I started looking into them a bit more. A lot of what follows is not necessarily "interesting", but I think taken together it shows a clear case for Economic Frauds being a scam website.
There is a lot of hits on google for "Emilia Chidester", but they are all 'self generated' articles. Between searching and the videos listed on their economicfrauds.com website, I identified 3 youtube accounts that they use to post videos -

The last account posted 1 video a year ago, the middle one 1 video a month ago and the first one a video 7 months ago and two videos in the last week.
Emilia Chidester claims to have hosted a financial news segment for years for Univision in San Diego (despite no reference to her by Univision or any photographic evidence that this is true) - watch the videos and you will be in no doubt that this woman is far from a natural in front of the camera.

The woman whose picture is used for the above sites looks nothing at all like the woman in the videos, apart form that they both look hispanic. The woman in the picture is obviously much younger than the one in the video, but ageing isn't the difference. If you look closely you can see that they both have very differently shaped heads, one is long and oval shaped while the other is almost perfectly round. Last I checked ageing doesn't change the shape of your head.
In my opinion, Emilia Chidester is a manufactured person the scammers created to add credibility to their fraud. The woman in the video is probably just someone they hired to fill the role and probably for very little money.
One her websites, she does not list Economic Frauds, which on thier site she is listed as the CEO. On her sites she claims to be contactable through People Alliance LLC, though they have the same address and phone number as Economic Frauds.
Economic Frauds website was also registered using a peoplealliancecorp.com email address.
Doing a search on People Alliance Corp revealed this recruiting account where they put their description as
Looks like pretty standard boiler room blurb to me (pity I didn't know about boiler rooms to begin with and I could have saved myself a lot of trouble)
The People Alliance Corp website obviously went through a makeover because now they are pretending to be a boiler room recovery website just like the scam Economic Frauds.
I also found this Job Posting made by the above account offering a part time position, paying 15% commission which was posted in April 2011 -
Next step was to find a registration in Florida for People Alliance LLC, which to my surprise I found
Interesting bits are:
Date filed - 03/15/2012 (that's the middle of last month)
Address - 1407 SW 24 COURT #3 FORT LAUDERDALE FL 33315 US
That address is a very cheap looking residential semi detached house - Google Maps
That address is also different to the one listed on the Economic Frauds, People Alliance Corp and Emilia Chidester websites. That address is - PO Box 22247 Fort Lauderdale, Florida 333 35
WHOIS information for both sites I'll put after this, but if Economic Frauds and People Alliance Corp are indeed scam websites, which I believe them to be, then how can I get them and all of their associated sites (Youtube, Twitter etc.) shut down?
Any help appreciated.
