A friend of mine just got offered Russian Diesel Gas GOST 305-82 from an Indonesian guy from PT Aneka Tambang Istiqomah Sejahtera, who bought a shipment from Oil Trade Ltd, Voskova House, St Petersburg, Russia.
The documents are exhaustive and requires no advance payment from my friend.
I did some googling but could not find any info on the Indonesian and Russian companies. But I noticed Oil Trade Ltd is listed in Ali Baba as an unverified seller. To me it is strange for a Petroleum product supplier to be listed in Ali Baba.
Phone numbers on Ali Baba and in Russia are different but both reflected Russian numbers.
Then I checked the web address oiltrade-ltd.ru which was taken from it's email address but it is directed to a default page of the domain registrar they used.
I did a who-is, and the domain was registered in April this year, about 5 months ago.
I could be wrong, but I have a strong feeling that the Indonesian guy is a fraudster and made up the Russian company. Or probably both sides are working together in this scheme.
It could be genuine but there are tell tale signs which indicates otherwise. Opinions from fellow forum members are greatly appreciated.
