After 6 months of research for buying rough diamonds in Namibia and Guinea, and other African countries, I can report it's almost impossible. Your dealing with people who lie like they had a third arm, it's part of them. They don't care what they say, what they do as long as they end up with your money. Tip # 1) Never, Never sent money.
#2) Don't believe anything they say, it' all lies.
#3) Never trust any documentation because it's probably a forgery
#4) Never fly to meet them and buy from them, because either you'll get mugged or they will pass off reproductions as real diamonds.
# 5) Any documentation will be phony.
#6) You could end up in jail for trying to export diamonds with out the proper documentation. Although I learned a lesson having not lost one penny to these scammers but time and travel expenses. *Inappropriate comment deleted
